So, here is my big fat self at 38 weeks;) I worked up until the end of that week…then decided I’d had enough. I had gestational diabetes this time and had to go to hospital/Dr. appts 3 times a week.
Couldn’t wait to see those tiny feet:)
My sweet boys:)
That’s a lot of feet!!!;)
The very next week, on Tuesday, Sept. 25th, I started having contractions. They were about 4-5 minutes apart…but nothing too intense. We decided to go to the hospital. They ended up sending me home that night because I wasn’t progressing:(
On Thursday, Sept. 27th, I woke up at 2 A.M. with some more intense contractions and other sure signs that I was going into labor. We took the boys to Grandma’s and drove to the hospital. We got there around 4 A.M.
The first thing I had them do when I got there was to check my platelet counts. With my previous labor and delivery, my platelet count dropped so low that they wouldn’t give me an epidural:( Yep, I had to deliver my 8 lb. 14 oz. baby boy drug free:(
Welp, guess what?? The same thing happened AGAIN:( No epidural. I also found out that my Dr. was NOT on call :'( Well, they must have felt really bad for me because they called him and he came in for me!!!! Oh, how I LOVE that man!!!! I don’t think I would have survived without him:) He and my husband, Chris got me through it and we welcomed our sweet baby boy, Finn into the world.
Best Dr. in the world!!! <3 So nice to have a Dr. who you know truly cares about you and would go out of his way and take time out of his busy schedule to help you :’)…Sorry, I KNOW I look pretty rough in this picture….but I also LOVE this picture because it’s so real and looking at it fills my heart with pure JOY. One of the happiest moments of my life:)
